Have you ever heard a song that sparked the creation of a music video in your head? Well get ready to listen to one. This freakin’ gem of a tune instantly transformed me into a seasoned director. While listening to Over and Over try to picture yourself as the camera. A line of 10 people decked out in the latest thrift store fashion are standing in a single file line with deadpan faces. You, directly in front of the line leader are attached to his waist and are facing him. You are all standing in a narrow alleyway that ends at a brick wall behind you. In the foreground there is a wind chime dangling. A gust of wind blows through starting the chimes….THE SONG BEGINS. For the rest of the song you be the director.

Hot Chip is a trio of British dudes that sit on stage with keyboard, apple computer, and synthesizer. In this digital age these instruments are more than enough to rock the house. I was first introduced to Hot Chip by a friend of mine from college who is currently living in Reading, England. To me this song represents her, its the type of song that I picture playing in her head as she walks around the streets of reading.

Enjoy.
